  What's Happening!!!

January:  **POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER**  January 17th, @ 7pm.  Pemigewasset Room - David Jeffers will provide an update on the recommendations and objectives from the Pemigewasset River Local Advisory Committee.   Tasked with developing a management plan for our region’s water resources, PRLAC will be an integral partner in our works going forward with our mission to Protect, Reconnect and Restore our coldwater fisheries, watersheds and habitat.

 

December: December 13th, @ 7pm.  Pemigewasset Room.  After a couple quick points of business, we'll get to an evening of socializing and pleasantries.  Fly tying, sharing the past year's fishing pictures and some holiday cheer.  Hope to see you there!

 

November:  Our next general meeting is November 15th at 7pm in the Pemigewasset room.  Vice president, Jim Nelson, and Director, Bev Nelson, will discuss their fishing expedition to Chile.  President Cutting will discuss some of our great local fisheries with plenty of drool-worthy pictures.  If there is time we will screen either Red Gold, dedicated to saving Alaska's Bristol Bay, or some Trout Bum videos.  The December meeting has changed to December 13th.  Don't forget to fill out and send in your Volunteer Timesheet (now available in a convenient Excel format).  You will find it here: PemiTU Volunteer Timesheet (Excel) or here: PemiTU Volunteer Timesheet (Doc).

 

October:  General Meeting is October 18th at 7pm in the Pemigewasset Room.  New members are encouraged to attend.  This will be a working meeting - what TU is all about.  Ray Kucharski is looking for volunteers for Columbus Day Weekend's Boy Scout Jamboree on Saturday, Oct. 8th.  See the calendar page for details, including contact information, to let Ray know how many he can expect to be there to support this outreach.  Spend a day promoting our cause and giving back in the scenic Waterville Valley during peak foliage season!

 

September:  General Meeting is SEPTEMBER 20th at 7pm in the Pemigewasset Room.  New members are encouraged to attend this first meeting of the season.  Those who do will be treated to shirts and desserts!  All new members will receive a Pemi TU t-shirt and can help themselves to some Common Man cookies!  The night's speakers will be Don Miller and Ben Nugent from NHF&G.

 

August:  Board of Directors meeting August 18th, 6:30pm.  Our next general meeting is SEPTEMBER 20th.  The August Newsletter is out here and on our Facebook page which can be referenced at the bottom of this page!  Check it out for more details and visit our calendar page here on pemitu.org to set your calender for this season's meetings and other items of interest!
 
 
June:  Our next general meeting is SEPTEMBER 20th.
 
 
May:  Member presentation night.  We have some folks lined up to present on some both some local waters as well as distant fishing holes.  It would be great to get more speakers so if you have some pictures and practical trip advice to offer please let Mike Maxwell know so we can get you on the schedule.
 
 
April:  Our next general meeting is April 19th.  Michael Hackeny, author of "The Reelsmith's Primer" will be there to discuss reels and reelsmithing.

The Pemigewasset Chapter of Trout Unlimited meeting begins at 7 pm.  The public is welcome.  The Common Man Inn, Route 3, Plymouth. 

 


 

Projects: the mainstay of what TU chapters do.  This could be everything from stream assessment to helping shape legislation that protects and preserves a cold water fishery.  Our chapter is involved in a few projects presently but we need more members to step-up with an interest in being involved.  If you have a suggestion or want to find out how you can help, contact an officer or attend our next meeting.
